This is an opportunity to meet two highly respected collectors of photography to discuss a subject, which is in its infancy in Australia. The seminar is design as an aid to understanding the collecting of the photographic image and will cover the following:

Explanation and examples of different contemporary and historic Photographic media . Collectable photographs and why they hold value. . Open and limited editions . Vintage photographs · Buying unknown and/or established artists' work · What does a good gallerybring to you? Gordon Undy is director and co- founder of point light, a gallery and school of photography which espouses the values of classical black and white photography and continues to show work of the highest standard from Australian and international artists. Photographs from his own extensive collection will be used to illustrate points during the seminar Joyce Evans is Approved to value photographs for the Australian Government's Cultural Gift Program allowing her to value International, Australian historical and contemporary photographyfor nearly 30 years. She has vast experience in this field and has a major collection of her own. .
