ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
About the workshop
It is designed for those who have a large format camera and want practical knowledge of its use.
Encouraging the exploration of large format in general while photographing a diverse range of subject matter. An ideal follow on from the Introduction to Large Format Workshop
Photographs will be made around Gold Street Studio using both sheet film and Polaroid instant peel-apart film, the sheet film will be processed on the day for comment and analysis.
Topics covered include:
- Setting up the camera on location
- Loading sheet film holders on location
- Using hand-held exposure meters
- Dealing with ‘bellows factor’ in close up photography
- Handling reciprocity failure with long exposures
- Use of filters
- Evaluating negatives
- Care & maintenance of large format cameras
This workshop is suited to
