Yupo® is a type of synthetic paper made from polypropylene by the Yupo company in 1970s. The paper has distinct advantages and disadvantages when compared with conventional tree-based paper. The paper is resistant to tears, stains, chemicals, and water. Perfect for final support in carbon and gum bichromate printing – it does not require sizing or preshrinking but best washed in warm soapy water and rinsed before use.
