The early Spanish settlers built an adobe church in Chimayo which has long been a place of pilgrimage. El Santuario de Chimayo in New Mexico, USA is known as the “healing church”.
Long before the Spanish arrived in America this was always thought of as a place of spiritual healing by the local indigenouspeople. This special place was captured in infrared giving an ethereal feel to the image.
