Description

Peppercorn tree – Shinus molle

This tree with its feathery leaves has a lovely weeping habit. Originally from Peru, it was planted for its shade and aesthetic values. It is now naturalised in Victoria and other parts of Australia and still commonly seen today on farms and along railwaylines. For many, this tree with its pink peppercorn berries is evocative of schooldays.
