“We do not see things as they are. We see things as we are.”
Versions of this truism has many attributees over the centuries and is highly relevant to expressive photographers. I came unexpectedly upon these silver birches when walking in the English Peak District. Having only visited the area once several years previously, I was surprised to immediately recognise them. This time their impact was immediate and I spent a long time photographing them.
Maybe the light was different, or maybe I was.
