Ammonium dichromate has important uses in photography, used as an alternative to potassium dichromate,  it is a common inorganic chemical reagent.

Gum bichromate printing Carbon print to harden gum and gelatine when exposed to ultraviolet light. Used in the bleach solution in bromoils.
