This developer is characterized by a very good sharpness of the contours, and a good exploitation of the sensitivity of the film. The contrast of the subject is influenced by the dilution. It is used by diluting one part of developer in 25 or 50 parts of water. It can also be much more diluted, within the framework of stand development (it is then diluted 1 + 100 or even 1 + 200) which gives this developer a very significant compensating effect and maximum exploitation of sensitivity. Rodinal keeps for a very long time in concentrated solution. When bottle is opened it will last 6 months or more if kept well sealed. Once diluted use immediately.
